Privacy Policy

Even Here is a Christian Bible and devotional app. Many of the things you write in it are deeply personal, so we built it to collect as little as possible and to keep your private words private. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

The short version

• You can use Even Here without an account. Without one, everything you save stays on your device.
• Your prayers, journal entries, notes, check-ins and healing reflections are never sent to AI.
• We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.
• You can delete your account and its data at any time from Profile in the app.

Information you give us

• Account (optional): your email address and a password, handled by our authentication provider. We never see your password.
• Your Even Here content: saved verses, prayers, journal entries, Scripture notes, fasts, plans, check-ins, healing reflections and settings. If you are signed in, these are stored in our database so they sync across your devices, protected so that only your account can read or change them.
• Connect (optional): if you join the community, your community name, posts, replies, prayer responses, group memberships, friends, blocks and reports. Posts and replies are visible to other members by design. Moderators can review reported content and hide or remove it, and can see which account wrote an anonymous post. If a moderator pauses your posting, we keep a record of that decision.
• Waitlist: if you join our launch waitlist on our website, your email address, used only to tell you when Even Here is available.

Smart matching and AI

When you type in "What are you facing?", Even Here first matches your words to topics on your device. Smart matching is off until you allow it. Even Here asks first, the first time you search. If you allow it, the text you typed in that one box (up to 600 characters) is also sent to our server and to our AI provider, Anthropic, only to choose the closest topics from the Even Here library. We do not store or log that text.

AI never writes Scripture in Even Here. Verses are always shown from the King James Version or World English Bible text. You can turn Smart matching on or off anytime in Profile. When it is off, matching stays on your device.

Nothing else you write in Even Here, including prayers, journals, notes, check-ins, laments or "What was said to you" entries, is ever sent to AI.

Information we do not collect

• We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or microphone audio. Even Here never records audio. If you use your keyboard's dictation, that is handled by your device.
• We do not use advertising identifiers, ad networks, or third-party analytics.

How we use information

• To run Even Here: saving and syncing your content, signing you in, and showing the community.
• To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, hiding harmful posts, and honoring blocks.
• To contact you about your account, or about launch if you joined the waitlist.
• We never use your private content to train AI models.

Who we share with

We share information only with service providers that help run Even Here, under their own privacy and security terms: our database and authentication provider (Supabase), our hosting provider, our AI provider for Smart matching (Anthropic), and Apple if you download the app or, in the future, buy a subscription. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect someone's safety.

Safety

If you type words that suggest you may be in crisis or in danger, Even Here shows help such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or the National Domestic Violence Hotline. This check happens on your device. We are not notified, and we do not contact anyone.

Your choices

• Use Even Here without an account, so your data stays on your device.
• Turn Smart matching, daily check-ins and Connect off in Profile.
• Edit or delete individual entries at any time.
• Delete your account in Profile. This permanently removes your account and the content stored with it.
• To be removed from the waitlist, or to ask about your data, contact us using the details below.

Children

Even Here is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Connect is only for people 13 and older. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, and signed-in content is protected by database access rules so that each account can reach only its own private data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you trust us with.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
